Royal visit RJ March 17 (158)

Paula meets Royalty!

ROYALTY visited Tadcaster on 29th March to show their support for fundraisers and businesses.

The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, toured businesses affected by flooding in Tadcaster 14 months on from his first visit when the town had recently been split in two with the collapse of the bridge.

The Duke toured the town and spoke to traders he had originally met in the weeks after they were hit by floods. Paula was over the moon and felt very privileged to be asked to meet Prince Andrew and introduce him to other business owners and representatives at the Riley Smith Hall.

‘Prince Andrew was so lovely, and genuinely supportive and interested in what we’ve endured, and the impact it’s had on the local businesses.’

Well done Paula, you did us and Tadcaster proud! :)
